Sustainable Teaching is an online support system for teachers in their first few years of teaching. Each teacher is paired with a Sustainable Teaching mentor in the teacher’s subject area.
Sustainable Teaching is not a one-shot workshop. Instead, Sustainable Teaching provides sustained assistance to teachers over time. It also provides new teachers with a confidant -- an outside colleague with whom to discuss issues and problems they might not be eager to discuss with those who evaluate them within the school.
Sustainable Teaching creates a partnership with your new teachers to assist and support them in achieving the goals you have set for them. At the same time, we help them develop their own principles about learning so that they become more confident in the classroom more quickly. Essentially, Sustainable Teaching fills the gap between your desire to spend more time working with your new teachers and the reality of the time that is actually available to you.
